My friend Julia and I are going to an overnight camp. We get in there with our mothers and they enroll us. Then Julia and I wait for a while in this lobby sort of place (weird; this was all indoors) for everyone to get there. Then we go to our room (looked like a hotel room!odd) and we pick out one of the beds in there to sleep in--she gets one in a bathroom (odd) and I get one in the actual room. Then our counselor or maybe just some random guy asks us some information about ourselves--our names, our nicknames (for some reason, one of my nicknames was RIVERS), etc. Later on,all the girls get there and we're trying to figure out who's a good singer for this talent show thing or something. So this one African-American girl starts singing this song (I don't remember how it goes--in the dream I also didn't know it!) and she's very good, and then another girl sings the next line, and she's also good, and then Julia sings the next (she's actually a great singer in real life)and all the girls are saying, "That's
good." I'm just standing there cheering them on because I'm no singer and even if I were , I don't know the song they're singing!
Meaning- Dreams about travelling somewhere (I guess it wasn't really
travelling, though; I actually do recall
some driving to the camp) may symbolize our spiritual journey, inner development and personal growth. The kind of music where other people are singing may be helping to lighten my spirit (it was quite nice).
