Stuck and Daft Punk

I'm in my room at my mom's house with either my mom or dad; I can't remember who. We're building a lamp with found objects around my room; a container, a small box, etc. Daft Punk's remix of 'Mothership Re-connection' by Scott Grooves is playing on my boom box. It sounds different, though..a bit distorted. We finish the lamp and it works really well. I guess it's some project for school or something. It apparently requires a video overview as well; I set up a camera and start to film how the lamp works. I say each object I used to create the lamp, and show it on the camera. It's supposed to be long, and as I shoot the video I'm thinking of what I want to do to it to make it look professional. Then I'm going to attend this party which takes place at my dad's house in real life, and my mom or dad tells me to bring the lamp to finish the video. So we go over there and we do some things, and I say I'm going to do more of the video to my mom or dad. Then I'm in this vast darkness with a bunch of people from this one show I used to watch and we're drifting through the air through these arrays of stars. We're trying to hold on but it's difficult and we're struggling. 2 people fall into what looks like a pool of stars and don't get out. That's all I remember.

Meaning- The Daft Punk remix I heard in the dream is a track I do enjoy, so it may just have been there to show that. Lamps contain light, of course, which in this case could represent ideas and intelligence. Having it work may be signalling an achievement or accomplishment I've had. Falling in darkness almost turns the dream another direction; it could be saying something is not clear and I'm having a hard time grasping the idea of something I'm struggling with. If this idea is not understood someone could get hurt (the 2 people falling). However, the stars may bring out good in the whole difficult situation, saying I will find help or advantages on the way.
