Rooms and Gloom

I'm in this big house (unfamiliar) and I guess I'm visiting or it belongs to someone I know. I go upstairs to this big room where a bunch of people are waking up. I plan to stay and sleep there for a few days. Everyone gets up and we get called to a meeting or get-together or something in the hallway. I find out that all of them are older men, like in the 50s. We go in the hallway and one of them is asking me to 'get the female' for the conference and points to a door at the end of the hall. So I go down the hall and open the door a bit. There's this girl my age still in bed, not sleeping. I don't know what to call her, so I call, 'Female?' and 'Alpha?' (or something like that). After I call the second name she immediately says 'Grandmama', like that's her name or something. So I repeat it and she says, 'Are they gone?' and I say, 'Yes, they've gone into another room'(not really sure what I'm answering or talking about), 'why?' She doesn't answer this, but says, 'Let's go shopping for Christmas cookies,' and I realize I'm pretty hungry so I say, 'Yes!' and she laughs. Then I notice cookies on the floor by her bed. 'What about those?' I ask. 'Those are really cold and stale,' she says. Stuff happens, and later, she's feeding my dog, Rufus, a treat that looks like Mario. He sniffs it, and she says, 'Racist!' and puts it next to him.

Meaning- Being in an unfamiliar place may imply that I need to explore more places. Cookies are sweet, so they might represent treats and awards, or gifts.
